Dr. Yeorim Ahn, Medical Director of DATONE Clinic, has been named an official ambassador for DENSITY, Jeisys Medical’s radiofrequency lifting device. She has more than 10 years of clinical experience in aesthetic medicine.

DENSITY is a noninvasive medical device that uses 6.78 MHz radiofrequency (RF) energy. It is designed to deliver monopolar and bipolar RF sequentially, addressing both deeper and more superficial layers of the skin. By delivering RF energy to the skin and inducing a thermal response in tissue, the treatment aims to improve skin firmness and contours.

The third-generation DENSITY Alpha Tip, launched in South Korea in 2026, was designed with a larger electrode area than previous versions and an emphasis on reducing temperature variation to achieve more uniform heat distribution. Tailoring energy delivery to the treatment area and skin condition is therefore important, particularly across the face’s varied contours.

Dr. Ahn explained that RF lifting should not be approached solely in terms of the device used or the number of treatment sessions. Instead, skin thickness, fat volume, facial bone structure and contours should be assessed together to determine how energy should be distributed.

Even when the same device and number of shots are used, the way energy is delivered can vary depending on an individual’s skin thickness, subcutaneous fat distribution and facial shape. This means that even with the same Alpha Tip, a personalized approach is needed. Energy intensity, the treatment path and areas of focus should be adjusted according to skin condition, fat distribution, bone structure and treatment history.

“Even with the same device and number of shots, the way heat is delivered can vary depending on skin thickness, fat volume and facial contours,” said Dr. Ahn. “What matters more than the device name or a simple shot count is how energy is distributed across the different layers and areas of the face.”

“A good RF treatment is not about using the strongest possible energy, but about precisely delivering the right amount of heat to the layers that need it,” she continued. “It is important to develop an individualized treatment plan that supports natural improvements in skin firmness and contours while maintaining the overall balance of the face, rather than creating excessive changes.”

Results and recovery following DENSITY treatment may vary according to factors such as skin condition and the extent of treatment. Before treatment, patients should thoroughly discuss their skin condition, subcutaneous fat and previous treatment history with their clinician to determine suitable energy settings and treatment coverage for their individual needs.
