Dr. Yeorim Ahn of DATONE Clinic Attends 2026 Sciton UP Xchange Gold Coast

Dr. Yeorim Ahn of DATONE Clinic attended the 2026 Sciton UP Xchange Gold Coast, an international educational program for medical professionals held on August 15–16, 2026, on Australia’s Gold Coast. She exchanged insights with colleagues on the latest clinical trends and applications in light- and laser-based skin treatments.

The program covered the clinical applications of BBL (BroadBand Light), used to address concerns such as pigmentation and redness, and MOXI, a 1,927 nm non-ablative fractional laser used to improve skin tone and texture.

BBL uses a range of filters to deliver selected wavelength bands of light to the skin. It is used to address pigmentation, redness and uneven skin tone. The wavelength range and treatment settings can be adjusted according to the patient’s skin condition and treatment goals.

MOXI is a 1,927 nm non-ablative fractional laser used to improve skin tone and texture and address pigmentation and skin changes associated with photoaging.

While BBL is used to target specific concerns such as pigmentation and redness, MOXI delivers laser energy in a fractional pattern across the skin’s surface to address tone and texture together. Both treatments require an individualized approach, with treatment methods and intensity selected according to skin condition, treatment goals and sensitivity.

“The approach to BBL and MOXI can vary depending on the type of pigmentation, skin tone, sensitivity and the timing of treatment,” said Dr. Ahn. “I will continue exchanging clinical experience and treatment approaches with medical professionals around the world, while exploring how these insights can be applied in clinical practice.”

The program brought together medical professionals from multiple countries to share clinical cases and treatment approaches involving BBL and MOXI.
