DATONE Clinic Introduces APTOS Bio-Lifting

DATONE Clinic announced on the 21st that it has introduced APTOS, a bio-lifting solution.

APTOS is a thread lifting solution used to support and reposition facial tissue with consideration for facial anatomy. Its range of thread designs and lengths allows practitioners to tailor treatment to specific areas, including the midface, lower face, jawline, brows and upper face, according to each patient’s treatment goals.

NAMICA, in particular, incorporates hyaluronic acid (HA) into absorbable materials based on PLLA and PCL. It is designed to provide tissue support while also addressing skin condition.

“What matters in lifting is not simply how much lift is achieved, but whether the overall facial proportions and tissue movement remain natural and harmonious,” said Dr. Yeorim Ahn, Medical Director of DATONE Clinic. “A good lift restores balance while preserving a person’s natural appearance.”

To deepen her understanding of the techniques, Dr. Ahn also participated in training organized by APTOS’s global headquarters. In July 2026, she attended the Kolkhida International Congress in Tbilisi, Georgia, where she learned from the clinical experience of physicians from around the world. She subsequently took part in APTOS hands-on training held locally.

“Thread lifting requires an understanding not only of the product’s characteristics, but also of facial anatomy, the direction of insertion and how the tissues move,” she said. “Learning from the different approaches of international physicians and participating in hands-on training reaffirmed that, even when using the same product, treatment design must be adapted to each patient’s facial structure.”

“New devices and treatments will continue to emerge, but what matters most is understanding each patient’s face accurately and identifying the degree of change that is right for them,” Dr. Ahn added. “We will continue to work with patients toward natural changes that suit their individual features, rather than following a fixed standard of beauty.”
